The Hair Up There

The hair up there is a poem book for young girls of color. I wrote it to help them appreciate their beautiful hair and all that it's capable of. One day i was watching an Astronaut of another race talking on the news while up in space. While i watched her hair stand straight up on her head due to lack of gravity, i thought to myself "Our hair defies gravity even when we're not in space" and me being a writer, that is where my poem book about hair begun.
